Hilary's oil paintings are steeped in the Theory of Chaos. Her linear expression displays unique patterns and a clever use of colour. Whether a buzzard in flight, rolling hills into valley lakes, gnarled trees, stags on mountain ridges, eagles catching salmon, butterflies on flower heads or mountain passes, every painting is stunningly unique.

A professionally trained Northern artist, Hilary uses tonal fields, and builds texture with a palette knife, while almost always including fine linear brush strokes and pattern. This rare mixing of techniques makes for extraordinary, beautiful work, that showcases a unique painting style. Hilary is mainly concerned with landscape and natural wildlife but has painted bronze sculptures in Barcelona, female statues among other diverse subjects. She is heavily influenced by art from ancient civilisations as well as the Renaissance and Impressionism. Hilary exhibits at national fairs selling her work, including the Royal Highland Show, Country Living fairs and the Great Yorkshire Show.

All paintings are oil on canvas and measure approx. 80cm x 100cm.
